MP_the4pack
A greyhound may not be good with kids, but not because they think kids are prey. And they do not need a lot of exercise. http://livestly.com/dog-breeds-that-might-affect-homeowners-insurance-premiums/14/?utm_content=5da28f&utm_campaign=LIVD_TB_TBLT_FamilyDogs&utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=usatoday-mobile&ss=
GreyTzu
Yup! It is the parents who allow their children to terrorize dogs and disrespect animals. And of course common sense. Yeah right... greytluck
Wow, what a misinformed article. I think it rare that a greyhound would think of children as prey. The high energy comment just proves they don't know what they're talking about. Although I see a lot of negative comments on this board about greyhounds and kids, I've personally found most greys are actually quite good with kids. I have owned 4 greyhounds and fostered another 6 since having kids. Of all of those only two would not have been good living with young children. Actually one of those two really liked the kids but was a resource guarder so a home with kids wasn't ideal for him. The rest have ranged from being indifferent towards the kids to absolutely loving them. Quote Hobbes-Ricard Hatch09/23/99-12/21/09 Always loved, never forgotten. BatterseaBrindl
NIxon, Ruby & Nigel all aced the very difficult St John Ambulance TD Certification with Children. Nixon (and now Nigel) read with third graders. Nigel 'specializes' in the young kindergarten ages. We visit a class for autistic 5/6 yr olds. Another school that we visit has many Somali refugees. These people are mostly terrified of dogs, especially large ones, but Nigel has won most of them over. Sid took the Adult certification in the fall and will test with children in late spring and I am pretty sure he'll pass. Quote Nancy...Mom to Sid (Peteles Tiger), Kibo (112 Carlota Galgos) and Joshi.
