Guest Celestrina
Angie is sensitive to chicken. Does that mean she is sensitive to eggs? If the prescription food doesn't work, then I'm willing to try a chicken-free version of Iams, but it has eggs.
Remolacha
not necessarily. some dogs are, some can eat one but not the other. you might try scrambling her an egg and seeing how she does before buying the food.
Hawthorn
I would tend to think she would be sensitive to eggs if she's sensitive to chicken. I get myself tested regularly for food sensitivities and if I test sensitive to cow's milk, I always test as sensitive to beef as well, even though I haven't eaten beef for 30 years. Makes sense to me, as it's the same animal, but I don't know if it always works this way. Quote When a relationship of love is disrupted, the relationship does not cease. cleptogrey
not necessarliy, also many many kibbles that are chicken free have chicken fat! i called one of the manufacturers and spoke to a customer service person about the chicken fat. they said, the fat doesn't process the same way as the meat. one of my dogs is sensitive to chicken, no problem w/ the fat, no problem w/ eggs. but eggs are a treat not a regular add-in. Guest KennelMom
As others have said, not necessarily. Though our girl Dash can't eat chicken or eggs.
Batmom
Is she sensitive to plain old chicken, or did she just not do well on a kibble with chicken in it? Only asking because kibbles have a *lot* of ingredients, and it can be very difficult to determine which ingredient causes a problem. For example, dogs here have tended to do poorly on kibbles with sunflower or canola oils as opposed to animal fat.
