Does anyone here buy frontline plus online? I'm looking for a good price.

Thanks

nancy

We buy it on Amazon. DW does the shopping for that one, so I'm not sure if she chooses a partcular seller on Amazon or just shops price each time.

I have been looking for a great price on the Frontline Plus. Is there a difference in this product. I've noticed that there are different pictures of dogs on the packaging. Some adds read USA/EPA. Is this product made in a different country and just shipped to the US? If it's not USA/EPA should I not buy it? I hope this makes sense.

Thanks :P

There has been a lot of controversy in the past year about some of the Frontline Plus sold being counterfeit or at least not approved for sale in this country (real Frontline is made in France, btw). I was just reading a lot about this online in the past week as I had to order some more Frontline and it gets pretty confusing how concerned or not you should be -- hard to tell what's a valid concern and what's internet hysteria. Google "counterfeit Frontline" if you want to read some of this on your own.

What I decided was that I was going to stay on the safe side and buy from an online pharmacy that has received Vet-VIPPS status (veterinary Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites), something I learned about in my research. One that does and also had a quite good price on Frontline plus free shipping on orders over $39 is VetRxDirect. It came really fast and I'm pleased, I think I will stick with them. (They are even pretty local to me!)

I used to buy Frontline Plus from thriftyvet.com, a Canadian site that is WAY cheaper than anything else I've ever seen, but I decided that after the concerns that have been raised their incredible prices don't pass the smell test.

So, I decided to check out VetRxDirect and came upon a new product from Meril called Certifect. Guess it came out last summer. http://us.merial.com/merial_corporate/news/press_releases/07-18-2011_CERTIFECT.asp This too sounds interesting. We are going to GIG in a couple of weeks and read they have lots of ticks. Maybe this would be a good product there....Anyone use this?

I am so confused! :blush

I haven't used Frontline or any like product for years. However I decided since we are going to GIG to bite the bullet. I received a letter from my vet with a $25.00 refund coupon for Frontline. Maybe check with your vet to see if this is a national promotion?

If ticks are a concern for you Cerifect may be a better choice for you- it contains amitraz- the active ingredient in the very effective preventic collars.

I'm going to guess that eventually Cerifect will end up be a better seller than frontline plus in the future.
