Glucosamine From Costco

I know I read here that some people get glucosamine from Costco so when I was there today getting allergy meds, I passed the bottle and almost bought it.

But then saw there were 2 types (now I can't recall what they were). I did a search but couldn't find the thread.

Which bottle do you get?

The bottles were the Kirkland brand but not plain glucosame.

We get the Kirkland with glocosamean (which is phonetically speeled cuz I couldn't figure out the correct spelling!)

I get Glucosamine for Opie from Costco, but it is the animal one. Its Best Pet Health Hip and Joint Plus, with Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM. They don't always have it in the store, but you can order it from Costco Online. I also order the Salmon oil from Costco too.

Is this Best Pet HH&JP w/ G like Cosequin? I use Cosequin DS, but it's awfully expensive.

Mine get the Costco Glucosamine/MSM, one tablet twice a day.

My old vet told me that the human Cosamen was fine to give and less expensive. Buy it as Costco.

You might want to avoid the version that has a pink coating on it. Sam was fine with those, but Jacey would spit them out, then nudge them around the kitchen floor, leaving what looked like pink snail trails on the floor. (This was in the day when I just dropped capsules in their dishes and they ate everything. These days, since their pills are more complicated, I put the whole collection of pills into half a slice of cheese, roll it up, and pop it in mouths.)

 

I changed over to the white pills--currently taking some that are sort of creamy white--and her highness will take them without complaint. These are people-version pills; the instructions are two pills a day, so Sam, Jacey, and I each have one pill at breakfast, one at dinner.
