Guest hlpnhounds
My long-term foster dog, Sis, will be having what we hope will be her last CSF tap today. She was diagnosed with an immune-mediated meningitis last Fall and has been on varied doses of prednisone since this past August to try to control the inflammation. We are hoping to have her condition under control soon. She is such a sweet little girl. I just want her to be ok after all is said and done. Please keep a kind thought for her today. Trihounds
Sounds familiar - our Bumper has an autoimmune issue (a nameless one, though) that caused inflammation in his lower spine. He's been on a low dose (0.75 mg 2x/wk) of Dexamethasone and it has brought him back from being near paralyzed in his hind end. No experience with pred, though. Sounds like you are doing everything you can. Good thoughts coming your way to you and Sis!
