Blood Blister On Penis

Recommended Posts

I noticed this on Bama's penis when they were running in the yard just now. At first I thought it was some kind of a tick, but on closer inspection it wasn't. The small speck under it was only a little piece of dirt.

My first grey, Odd Cat, used to get little round black scabby things that bled profusely if the scab came off. But they were much smaller than this, and flatter. This is like a big raised fluid-filled (I think) blister.

Could a bug bite or something cause a blood blister like this? I'm very worried - I've already lost 1 grey (Magic) to hemangiosarcoma. :(

Goldie has these. They come and go, but she is healthy. My vet is Florida, told me they were probably from her being out in the sun. She's had them for years. too.

Probably nothing to worry about, but, as always, it is good to run things like this past the vet.

Looks exactly like what Wayne had which ended up being a Plasmacytoma. But, it could be anything, best to have the vet take a look at it

Hoping it's nothing :goodluck :goodluck

You could always email that pic to your vet and see if s/he thinks it's worth taking a proper look at - it's a very clear picture.

Sending good thoughts!

Better yet--why not e-mail the pic to Dr Couto and gang??

Oh edited to add that I hope it's nothing to worry about ;)

I guess I'm going to take him to the vet. There are so many things it could possibly be. Even OSU would probably want to take a biopsy before saying it's nothing (which is hopefully what it is).

When I went through this with Wayne, my vet told me he would not name anything until the path report came back.

Please keep us posted on what the vet has to say. Thinking good thoughts here

My angel Peppy had one just like this.

removal went very well, and it was benin,

at the same time i thought there was another one on the other side,, i asked my vet to remove it too.... he said,, "oh, no, that one has to stay, it's a nipple!"

Yeah, Pete sometimes gets these blisters, on his tummy and butt. My Vet said not to worry about it, but I'm wondering what Bama's Vet said.

Sorry for not posting the update! :blush By time we got to the vet he had licked it so it wasn't a blister anymore. Vet said it's most likely nothing & to just watch it for now - it's healing up pretty well & almost gone. Weird place to get a blood blister, though!
