Charlies_Dad
Words cannot say enough how sad and angry this makes me feel. I am devastated for Lisa and her two pups and am steaming over the pit bulls and the owner. I just cannot believe the irresponsibility of people. As Robin stated, only pursuing legal actions will make this owner realize the consequences for their ways. I am very sorry Yogi and Maris that we couldn't protect you. Guest trevdog
I have no words except to say I can't even begin to imagine the heartbreak and trauma over witnessing something happen to your own pups and not being able to save them. I feel for the owner of the other two pups as well, he knew there was a problem and thought he had a reliable person taking care of them, unfortunately for him. I hope this person no longer cares for pets as she has shown she has no business doing so. Sending lots of peace and hope that you may one day be able to think of Maris and Yogi with good memories and help two more in need find a loving home. Guest Mom2Shiloh
Most of what I would say under normal circumstances has already been said except to add my deepest sympathy and prayers for healing and peace for the grieving owner. I totally agree that 4 dogs' lives are lost because of this 'petsitter' and that she should never have responsibility for another animal. If she was not capable of following the owner's explicit instructions, she had absolutely no business representing herself as a competent petsitter. I sometimes think I have become cowardly and am paranoid about walking my dogs in the neighborhood; I'm not as strong as I used to be and I used to walk 4 or 5 greyhounds at a time. Sadly, I think my decision to walk over at the nearby Veteran's Cemetery unless I have a walking partner is probably more wise than cowardly. I am so terribly sorry for this tragedy. beledi
I do not know what to say. My heart goes out to all involved. Four lives lost and a lot of pain and broken heart. I have to admit to being afraid to walk Samlur as I am getting older and have had some serious knee surgery fairly recently. Quote "Then God sent the Greyhound to live among man and remember. Guest 2greygirls
I am so sorry for your loss, and absolutely horrified. you are living one of my biggest nightmares. I am also sorry for the pits, whose owner , it seems knew of their potential and tried to keep them in a safe way. I agree with everyone who says go after the pet sitter. But all of that will not erase the deed, or bring back your babies. Run free sweet hounds!
bradymom
This is so horrific, words don't begin to express my sorrow for Maris and Yogi and Mom. Plus the loss of the pit bulls. I been very worried about a particular pit here in Richmond. She's aggressive and I've witnessed her break her collar lunging. I am grateful I did not have Brady with me cause .....
