Guest tennesseegrey Posted March 14, 2009 Share Posted March 14, 2009 It's with a heavy heart that I released Caesar to the Bridge this afternoon. I already miss looking over the side of my bed at him, but I'm so releaved he won't have to suffer and I won't have to worry about him any longer. Caesar was such a godsend. He was my first introduction to Greyhound living. Caesar was such a special boy. Very cautious, but loved everyone he met. I never had to worry about his reaction to people or other pets. He was never rushed to the vet for anything because of his cautious nature. He was like another breed in a Greyhound body. His former owner never let him out on lead (stupid I know) but in that 3 year period, he NEVER fled. I kept him on lead however, better to be safe than sorry. Caesar had the most precious, prominant overbite which was the source of so many smiles. I'll post one of his smile photos so you can see how extreme. Thank you ALL for all your support, advice, and thoughts during this difficult, but special time with my boy. I will sleep with his COG blanket. He loved that thing dearly.
