retiredracers Posted February 24, 2009 Share Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) My heart is breaking as I type this... my little girl is telling me that she's had enough so we're going to send her to the bridge tonight. She just has so much happening to her little body and even if we can get over this latest thing, the results are most likely going to be the same. Unless some miracle happens in the next two hours, my friend and vet will be doing the euthanasia at around 7 tonight. I'll post in rememberance when I can... thank you everyone for your support. We let her go... she was in DIC. The bruising had started on her abdomen already. If I hadn't made the decision, she probably would have suffered and died during the night. I'm afraid that we're getting down to the end. I haven't been updating because, well, I don't know what to say, everything is still a mystery. Today, she is really sick. Watery diarrhea, nauseous, won't eat, seems to be in pain and lethargic. Her vet is off today but she's coming in to look at her. Please say a prayer and send good thoughts for my little Mousey girl. No experience at all with this at all Sheila,other then knowing of a greyhound in my neighborhood who had this. They tested for it as a 'why not?' because they couldn't find anything,and the grey was extremely sick. And that's what it was,and she did recover. I couldn't rememeber the name of the disease,just that it began with the letter L. I think it was leptospiridosis,thought it cannot hurt to mention. Sending prayers for Mouse!
