Last night I took Loki to his first dog show, confirmation. He was being shown as an 'altered' male. In the UKC they have this class. He got a HUGE ribbon...but that's my boy...always a winner.

When I took him to his first amateur race...he won over all the Greyhounds.

When I took him to Lure Coursing, he won over a champion lure courser...

Always a winner!

Never won at the track...but since he won his way into our hearts, he was always a winner.

Just goes to show what some Love will do.

Today we headed out again, back to the same dog show. This time I had Zephyr with me too.

The dogs had a nice warm breakfast (yes, warm!) and nice dump in the yard and off we went.

Loki in the backseat and Zephyr in the rear of the car.

Loki always liked the back seat better.

Somewhere between my driveway and the Brampton fairgrounds, Loki died.

He was dead in the back seat when I got there....more than likely it was a heart attack. He was 5 years old.

He died with a full belly, going for a car ride...always a winner.

Run fast and free Loki.

There will never be another one like you.....

Imagine how proud i was that my 5 year old retired racer was a winner in all those things.

I loved him so much...

I tried to take a nap but my bed is empty...

Thanks for your kind words...They really are nice to hear and i appreciate them.

How terribly sad..........but as you say he passed away with a full tummy and going for a ride in the car to somewhere exciting.

Loki is inside your heart and in your memories, don't feel alone he'll be watching over you.....

Run free our beloved Sir Snowy, Pip, Queenie, Sadie, Tess & Rosie until we meet again......I would rather feel the thorn than to never see the rose

This is heartbreaking to see. I am so sorry for your sudden loss. Loki passed away knowing he was loved and enjoying his life to the very end. I wish I had the right words to say to comfort you.
