some good news. the stitches are out, and she did smash 2 burger king cheeseburgers and a couple gourmet cookies. robinm has been kind enough to send some tripe, and i have half a cooked chicken breast for tomorrow morning in the fridge. here are a few pics of the healed incision. there are a few scabs which will eventually fall out. if you look closely, you will see the peach fuzz. its more evident where the patch was. chemo will be starting next week. thats our next hurdle.

Her site looks really good and the stitches being out will make her much more comfortable. WooHoo for the magic window - remember, food is good Ember, keep eating. Sending hugs and scritches.

I'm so glad that she's eating.

I wonder if aloe would help the irritation from the fentanyl patch? I consulted the pharmaceutical scientist I know and he said that the irritation from the patch is probably due to the alcohol in the patch which would dry the skin.

Hey, will you pick up a Big Mac and some fries for me while you're there? Can I come and eat at your house? Come on, Ember! Let's you and I hop in the car and go to Mickey D's! The one near my house gives out hands full of dog cookies, too! And tomorrow maybe we can get a couple of regular roast beefs at Arby's! Yee-haw!

Ember, us girls have to stick together! Keep eatin' honey, OK?
