devon Posted September 16, 2008 Share Posted September 16, 2008 My beloved Devon Rex cat Spyro passed yesterday, I am completely devastated Sunday we noticed she wasn't well so I took her to the E-Vet and spent 4 hours there, She was very anemic and was put on oxygen, she was almost in a coma,they think she had a brain tumor but weren't sure, After much discussion with the vet and phone calls to my husband at home we decided to let her go to the bridge, when we went to get her she was sitting up and when I called her name she started to purr, so we decided to see how she went overnight, she seemed to do well overnight and I was anxious to see her that morning, by the time I got there around 10am she had gotten worse, the vet said it might be time to let her go. My husband couldn't leave work to be with us, so I held her and told her how much I loved her, Spyro was the first pet my husband and I got as a couple. It was so hard to let her go, One day I had her and she was fine and the next she was gone, I have 4 other cats and its amazing how empty I feel, I can hardly see the keys I am crying so much. I just hope there will come a time I can think of her and not feel so heartbroken. I miss you my sweet miss swiss (her nickname) Run free and be with Jeter.
