RobinM
Got home about 4:45. Beau looks shell shocked. He has this glazed look, panting and just stood looking at me for about 10 minutes before he would lay down. Polli has a glazed look but not as bad. Remember, her surgery was a few hours earlier and they kept him under longer so that they could get the leg x-rays, have the ortho look at the leg etc, so he is kinda out of it. I'll let them sleep for as long as they wish and if they want to eat, they can, if not... not. But my precious babies are home with me. I don't work Fridays so I will be home spoiling them tomorrow! I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo relieved this is over with. MerlinsMum
Just saw this. Hooray!!! So glad it went well. :yay Merlin was out of it for the duration of the evening on the day of his dental. At one point I even got a bit worried because he was soooo slow in getting back to normal. The next day he was a little rocky on his feet but eventually returned to his old self. He did eat (read: scarf down) something the very day of the dental, despite being out of it - typical! Also glad to hear that Beau's leg showed no lesions. Wonder if it's an old injury that flared up? It's great that you have the day off tomorrow and can keep an eye on your babies! Hope they're back to normal tomorrow. I bet their mum is feeling better now :) Thanks for the update! Quote Kerry with Lupin in beautiful coastal Maine. Guest FullMetalFrank
I am glad they are doing well. I have never had to leave Frankie at the vet and I think it would traumatize me more than him! His vet did recommend a dental soon; we are trying our best to get his teeth back in shape with regular brushing and raw bones and have him re-checked to see if the vet still thinks he needs a cleaning.
