    Elly

I'm so very sorry. Godspeed Elly.
  11. It's great to hear that he's making progress. A couple of things from my experience with Minnie: it's possible for IBD to lurk undetected until there is a major crisis. And it can take a long time for the stool to firm and for the dog to gain weight, even after a novel protein is introduced--the gut has to heal, and that takes time.
  12. I'm so very sorry. There is nothing like a feisty old broodie. Godspeed Gremlin.
  13. I've been through this too. I'm sending all the best wishes to you, Chuck, and Harley. I hope Harley starts to feel better soon.
  14. I'm glad Princess is home. I hope the treatments and feedings start to help her soon.
  15. When Cora's leg was fixed, my vet said that there is a link between surgical hardware and OS if the hardware is not removed. It's a process that takes years. [We did not later discuss removing the hardware because it turned out that Cora already had OS.] Not sure if this is relevant to your boy, but it might be to the adopter's previous loss.
  16. I'm so very sorry. Godspeed Tatum.
  17. Oh no! Keeping fingers crossed for Princess.
  18. My vet has used Amoxicillin and Clindamycin. Clindamycin is apparently good for bone issues.
  19. Oh no! What a horrible shock and terrible loss. I'm so very sorry. We will all miss your handsome boy. Thank you for telling us more about him. Godspeed Hector.
