Would somebody kindly PM me their log on info so I can see what you are seeing. I didn't sign up, so I can't go in and look. For now, don't do anything - we sent off the email to the developer this morning after we tried to do the match. There are a few other bugs as well that we tried to work around, but it seems like it isn't quite working correctly yet

There are bugs up to ying yang still, but we tried to work around it. We show everybody as matched at the moment, but what we see is that everybody still has a status of "New" instead of "Matched" So we have no idea if you are seeing the info for the person you have been matched to. I'd appreciate it if somebody could look at their "My packages" and let me know what you are seeing. We may have to do this again if you aren't seeing what you should.

Yes, $206 for a chem panel and CBC is high. I've always paid about $100 for the combo. The ones we had done at the hospital a few weeks ago came to $103. Fees are odd - we were charged a "Multiple Injection/day" fee of $72 and $8 for 90mg of phenobarbitol - a half day supply (I can get a 45 day supply for $15), along with some nursing care and professional treatment fees - things I'd think would be part of the hospitalization fee, but weren't. Depending on where you are, these might be normal charges.

I used to hand match everyone the last few years - we used to swap around the board who did the matches. I think BJ did the first one. It seems to grow each year by a bit.

last day to sign up is Nov 21, but as in previous events, we'll likely close it early as it becomes difficult to match when only a person or two is signing up at that point. I'd suggest signing up as early as you can. We are waiting on a fix to the code so we can match - had a small issue with what we had last night. I didn't hear anything about a fix being in Jeff's email this morning, so maybe later tonight.

If you entered multiple times and you selected no preference for shipping for each of your entries, I just want you to be aware that this means each of your entries could be matched so you are shipping overseas. Example: I enter 5 times. Each time I say no preference. I'm in the US. I get my matches. I have 2 names in the UK, 1 name in Germany, 1 name in Australia and 1 name in Canada. That's going to be pretty expensive for me to ship all these packages. This can easily happen by the looks of how the matching seems to be working. We still have a small issue (no way to ACCEPT the matches), so we aren't doing it right now, but hopefully later tonight or tomorrow if we get that bug fixed. So, this gives you time to edit your entries if you don't want to have the chance to send overseas for every package you enter.

Dogs are unaware of their seizures if they are grand mal - they are unconscious. As has been stated, keep track of his seizure activity - date/time and any thing out of the ordinary the day of or day prior. It may never happen again or you may have a dog who has a seizure every now and then or you may end up having to medicate him to control the seizures. Like Judy's Saint, Ryan is also on phenobarbital and KBr to control his seizures. He's also on Gabapentin now - which can also work to control seizures, but he's on it for other reasons at the moment. I've read that Gabapentin can be rather expensive to use for dogs. Ryan is on 300mg a day and it was $27 for a 21 day supply. I have no idea how much he'd need to control seizures.

We can't match until we have an update for the code. We were hoping to have it this morning, but nothing yet. As soon as we get it, we should be good to go with matches. Should be soon.

Have you had him tested for food allergies? If Ryan eats kibble with wheat in it, I just pick up mush.

I was a little bored today, so that left me with time to look at images in signatures. I found quite a few today with images that were well over the 15k limit and several that went over the 150x500 limit as well. please, check your signatures. We have these limits in place to make the page loading quicker for those that have dial-up. If yours doesn't fit the specs and I didn't notice it today, please just fix it. Once we do notice it, it will be removed with a little note left in its place. I'd recently noticed a few signatures advertising businesses that weren't theirs. We have no problem with you putting a blurb about YOUR business in your signature as long as it follows the guidelines posted in the pinned thread in the tech forum. But we will not allow you to advertise for somebody else. Tomorrow... I'll start looking at the number of lines of text in signatures So, again, please take a look at your signatures - 4 lines max, including blank spaces. I may not catch them all, but if you know yours is over the limit, please fix it and don't wait for one of us to notice it and remove it.

Since we moved to this system, there haven't been emails being sent out for receipt of entry. The emails were when we did it through the ticket system and I did it all by hand. The bug being worked out is that you can receive the same name twice during matching - we don't want that.

If shipping to the UK, it needs to be shipped by Nov 1 or it won't get there due to the UK postal system issues.

You can't see other's wish lists. I won't be sharing addresses with anybody, so unless you already have an address for somebody or want to have somebody else ask if it is ok for "somebody" to have it... If you have the address or means to the address - then I'm fine with you asking for people to snoop. And just and FYI... not everybody will ask for evil elf assistance - so if you are not contacted, it does not mean you were forgotten, just means somebody already has an idea of what to get.

You can be a backup. Though it doesn't mean you will be called upon if everybody follows through with their commitment. No, you send as many packages as you sign up for. You may have 10 pets you entered one time total. You may only get a person that entered one pet. System doesn't match based on number of pets. The programmer should be tweaking some code tonight if he gets a chance, so maybe Thursday or Friday. Depends on when he has time to work on it.
