  1. When Jack had his dental oh about 2 years ago I think, I dropped him off in the morning and picked him up in the afternoon. He wasn't even groggy. You wouldn't have known anything had happened except his teeth sparkled and he was so glad to get the heck out of there.

He gets raw meaty bones now and hasn't needed a dental since. Merlin will be fine. I know you will worry anyway.

  2. I have no personal experience. First I'm so sorry about the tumour. Second from all I have heard and read here, I would really suggest not doing a biopsy. They are extemely painful. A fine needle aspiration is generally what is required for diagnosis of OS and is a much gentler option.

:grouphug for you and your boy.

  3. i guess what's a bit scary about this is that it wasn't my vet who made the diagnosis of chondrosarcoma; it was the board certified radiologist who examined the x-rays before she sent them to Dr. Couto. i guess it's better to be safe, but it's still scary.

It is scary. I wonder how many people would have otherwise considered putting their dogs down with that diagnosis.

But now back to :bounce1:bounce1 for Loca

  4. Disinfect it with something like nolvasan or betadine solution (better than hydr. per. - that can burn) one more time, smear some triple antibiotic ointment or SSD ointment on your gauze pad, then wrap it and leave it that way.

The "it needs air" thing is a bit of a myth. Wounds heal quite nicely in a moist environment.
