Great article, Diane. I've thought about chiropractic for Bea, who cracks and pops when she walks, and occasionally limps after tearing around the backyard with the younger two like a dang fool. The Goddess doesn't know she's almost 12!!

We helped Sam across the bridge an hour ago. I pray that she is in a place where there is no pain and no suffering. And I pray that she is with Emily, who died today 2 years ago. I'm beginning to hate May 10th.

That's very beautiful, and very comforting. I hate it that we didn't cremate Em separately. When it happened, they told us they would keep her the rest of the wknd. In a freezer. I just couldn't bring myself to go get her frozen body. But she is 'buried' in my heart, and always will be.

I fully believe the ones we loved so much are still here with us, watching over us. Sometimes I see a flash of white in the backyard--and I know it's Em. Iberia's spirit will always be with you.

Kelly, Thanks, that means a lot. Give Mimi a hug from us! I want to thank everyone who tells Em's story from the bottom of my heart. I'd like to think maybe we can keep her spirit alive that way, and maybe her death won't seem quite so senseless.

What a touching thread--I've enjoyed reading these posts tremendously!! Emily--our first Grey. Opened my DH up in a way I never thought possible. She turned him into an animal lover. Every time I see him with our Greys, how kind and gentle and patient he is, I think of Em. Her spirit is always with us.
