  15. Lisa President of Grateful Greyhounds wanted all of you who loved and supported Daphne and Henry Hi everyone, Tough, strong willed, curious, scrappy, aloof...these are some of the words I can use to describe Daphne. It was because of her fighting spirit that she survived the hell of her adopters until she was 13 yrs old,and made such a remarkable recovery as the greyhound community worldwide watched. We have enjoyed witnessing Daphne thrive in our care, from almost dead to strong and sturdy. On thursday, 8/23/07, surrounded by her biggest fans, Daphne crossed the rainbow bridge. She died from old age as her organs were no longer functioning as they should. Her liver, not detectable on an x-ray, was not able to filter toxins any longer and her body had lost much weight. Finally, she lost the use of her back legs and walking and sniffing was not longer possible for her. We have tears for her loss, but a smile for her life. We have been privileged to be the people responsible for her everyday care. It has been an honor to join Daphne on this journey, one of life and death. Lisa Sallie & Angie Soriano Grateful Greyhounds (permission to cross post)
  16. Saullie was diagnosised with osto 2 months ago He had broken his leg All the vets said a dog just doesn't just break a leg but nothing is showing in the xrays. He had surgery and again they couldn't see any cancer but the biopsy came back positive for osto Of course we freaked. We decided against amputation as he is 11 We put him on artemisnin and low carb diet Well today he had an xray-we didn't expect healing as it is cancer well he is healing and they can't see the cancer Iris
  17. Thanks everyone. Please keep saullie in your thoughts. so far he isn't in any pain. he really isn't using the leg that was broken. he goes back in a few weeks for another xray to see if he is healing. we don't want to know if the cancer is visible.
  18. our saullie has pannus we put two different eye drops in once a day no problem and he will be 11 aug 1
