  2. Ok so i rush my dogs off the vet at the drop of a hat. my vets are terrific and they kid me about it. many times they don't even charge me myron has been living with us a year and 1/2 and they say they have a book on him he is fawn color and he came home in dec so when his stomach and hind turned dark in the late spring was it so out of whack to think he was bleeding internally. i don't think so- ok so it was sun tan. all right stop laughing now i have a question that i am sure will give everyone another chuckle when he drinks on an empty stomach his stomach makes girggling sounds. it has gotten a litte worse lately this is not a new thing his foster mom said he did this with her also i am sure it is nothing but just in case......

  7. I have been forwarding everyone's responses to Henry's passing to his family and they are totally overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support. This means so much to them Thanks
  8. for those of you who remember daphne & henry aka bones thank g-d daphne is doing fabulously Lisa president of Grateful asked me to post this to all of those who sent prayers and support for this wonderful pair It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Grateful Greyhounds' beloved Henry. Henry came into our lives a little more than a year ago and was quite literally at death's door then. The greyhound community came together and rallied for both Henry & Daphne. Through the love and care Laura and Maureen provided Henry in their home, he was able to make a remarkable recovery and was thriving throughout the summer and part of the fall. His journey came to a quiet end today, surrounded by those who loved him very much. Please keep Henry, Laura & Maureen in your thoughts and prayers. If you are unfamiliar with Henry & Daphne's story I invite you to read about them on our website (gratefulgreys.org). Respectfully, Lisa Sallie, President Grateful Greyhounds, Inc. (Permission to cross-post)
  9. I believe the name of the hotel is the Atlantis....some, if not, most of these hotels are old, run down and not maintained. There should not have been water flooding the elevator...would if that were a child or a person?! Horrible, horrible thing to have happened...thank God the individual who tried to help didn't die or get seriously injured. My heart goes out to the family and for those who were affected by it. 1689067[/snapback] to say this is a horrible is an understatment but this was an accident we have stayed at the motel for years and they have always been wonderful to our pups. the staff was devasted and the elevator was NOT flooded. i am proud to call pirates mom & day are our friends and part of our rescue group along with gina who tried to bring scarlett back. when we first heard the screams they rushed to aid the family with no thought of risk to themselves. i have never seen such an outpouring of support as i have seen from the grey community once peoople found out about the tragedy. all of those who were involved with trying to save the beloved scarlett are planning on staying at the atlantis next year and havr already booked rooms.
