  1. I also tell people at M & G's about genie and suzy thank you soo much with sharing her with the greyhound community and giving her a wonderful loving home we are making a donation in honor of genie to osu
  2. thanks for all the advice the vet wants to do some more blood work he said not the panic but of i am lol i will keep everyone updated
  3. the blood was sent to protek our vet just got the results about an hour ago we are going in early next week to discuss with him we had our other tested but he came back negative now our other guy will go in for testing thanks for quick replies another thing to worry about lol
  4. does anyone have experience? one of our greys tested positive but has no signs thanks in advance for any info

  6. i haven't been on lately and was so sad when i saw about carrier if you remember morty and carrier were diagnosised about the same time. after we lost morty dec 29 and then our zie 1/19 i was sending all of our healing thoughts to carrier hugs!!!!

  8. morty it was almost 4 months and now the greyt news saullie almost 8 months no chemo no amputation just low carb evo and artisimin (sp) once in a while rymdal and he is doing greyt!!!! hugs
  9. those of you who remember two of our boys morty and saul were diagnosised with osto saullie in june, morty in sept saullie is doing very well his broken leg has healed and no sign of cancer as of his last xrays morty our dear boy the last of our orginal group wen to the bridge today he was 13 dec 4 hug your hounds
  10. evo and now morty who is not a good eating likes wellness salmon no grains in it
  11. morty has his first chemo today the good news is he is ok the bad news is the tumor is growing the hopeful news is the chemo will slow down the growth morty will be 13 next month and we want him here pain free to celebrate!!! and into the new year!!!
  12. i don't know about numbers etc but with all the love you give him i am sure he will be with you for a super long time
  13. at the emergency vet i read an article 25-50% of all dogs will die of cancer at the dr cuoto's seminar in dewey if i am remembering correctly there is a higher instance of osto in racing greyhounds then akc & galgos we are a tight group of grey lovers so we are in contact with each other more our kerry blue died of cancer but i had no place to come to talk about her disease

  16. there is nothing i can say just sending hugs my chester's dad was hb commander chester died at almost 10 of mass cell cancer myron is hb commander's great grandson
  17. some of you might remember our saullie and morty were diagnosised with osto 2 months apart saullie's showed up in a biopsy morty you can see in the xray well saullie had broken his leg and had pins, rods etc put in as they didn't see any osto well today he got his brace off 4.5 months later. his leg is healed he still limps but he is ok for now morty on the other hand his limping has gotten worse saul is 11 & morty will be 13 in december so we have opted not to amputate on either morty tomorrow is going for a needle biospy and the results are going to be sent to osu and dr cuoto once he gets them we will take ti from there both are on evo and 200 mg of arsminin (sp)
  18. glad he is home and so glad you are taking him to osu. we are 11-12 hours away but are thinking of taking the boys out there just think the trip would be too much for them morty being almost 13 and saul 11 are vet is talking to dr cuoto and seeing our options
