I'm so sorry for your loss. It always makes me sad and angry to hear about loose dogs, and to see them in my neighborhood. What an awful way to lose such a sweet young pup. We had Joe put to sleep in our home. The vet and tech were very nice. We only had other cats at the time, and Jezebel (the oldest) was wonderful. She stayed with Joe, licking his ear and laying with him as he passed away. I think that it did help the animals understand, and I think that it was the most peaceful, personal, loving way to go.

How tragic. I'm so sorry. When I was about your age - maybe 14 - I lost my sweet Morris. He was a beautiful and loving orange tabby. He was hit by a car. It just broke my heart. I'm so sad for you...it's hard even as time passes.
