  6. I know the vet tech said something about it yesterday : I guess I should do that today since I'm home from work.
  7. Stopped by Dairy Queen for a scoop of soft serve for the boys Hopefully the cold will feel good on Major's toofer
  8. I was thinking about giving him a frosty paw but I was worried that he might irritate the gum on the cup of the frosty paw (he usually lays his top lip over it and lays on top of it and just licks) Maybe I'll pick up some DQ soft serve and put it on a paper plate, that way he won't hit his toofie
  9. No no sign of anything anywhere I haven't a clue how he did it.
  10. yep, I'm home now and he's resting. PICTURES OF MAJOR'S MISSING TOOTH, DON'T LOOK IF YOU ARE SQUEEMISH!!! My poor monster
  11. I decided to take the day off today and stay at home with him He's snoozing right now and seems to be O.K. He ate last night and bled a little bit, but not too bad.
  12. He seems to be acting normal (mostly sleeping) he hasn't eaten anything yet so I'm a little nervous about that when he does. I hope it doesn't bother his gums and make it start bleeding.
  13. He's laying down right now and his solo fang is hanging out He's still the most handsomest dark red brindle greyhound in the world (and Black Jack is the handsomest black greyhound too)
  14. I have no clue how he did it. I've searched the whole house and no sign of blood anywhere I was outside with them the whole time this afternoon and didn't see him crash into anything it's a mystery
  15. I was gonna ask Dr. G if I could have it but then thought nah.... what would I do with his tooth?? :lol I just HATE that he lost his pretty wittle fang though He always looked so cute when he was sleeping and his little fangs were hanging out.
  16. Thanks for starting the thread Mel and thanks to the Jennifer's for getting the word out We are home resting now. Major's fang is gone THANK GOD I left work early today because I usually don't get home until after 6:00 and the vet's office closes at 5:30. I had a meeting with my grandma's caregivers at 2:30 is the reason I got home early. I walked in the door around 4:30 and the boys seemed to be acting fine. They went potty and when they came back to the porch, Major's paw was covered in Blood I washed it off and didn't find an injury, so I thought, maybe Black Jack is bleeding looked him over and he was fine too. As we were walking back into the house I noticed blood dripping from Major's head I looked at him and it looked like he had a jawbreaker in his mouth pulled up his lip and his fang tooth was practically sideways and bleeding really bad. Called the vet told them we were on the way, got him in the car and went off to see Dr. G. He gave Major a local and pulled the tooth (it was HUGE) did bloodwork and I'm going to take him back next friday for a full dental. He asked if he hit it on anything or bit into something hard after I got home I checked the whole house and no sign of blood anywhere so it must of happened right before I got home. Major is resting on his doggie bed, hopefully he'll sleep most of the night and not be in much pain He gave me antibiotics to start him on tomorrow because he gave him a shot today. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers
  17. I barely have anything in my house, I never eat at home anymore :lol Well Black Jack survived He's laying next to me right now giving me the eyes to get off the computer and come give him scritches He pooped when I got home from work and it was a normal poop so I guess the bones were small enough that they didn't do any damage. Good thing is I've been home for 3 hours and no sign of gas
  18. He did fine this morning, 2 normal poops before I left for work. He was still drinking a lot of water (which I figured since they were kind of salty) so I think he's gonna be O.K.
  19. I didn't see him eat them because I was outside. They are mostly fatty and pretty bendy. From the website: Rib Tips Over a pound of the tips, grilled and slathered in Rich & Sassy BBQ sauce and chopped into tender, bite-size pieces. More info: A Rip Tip comes from the Whole Spare Rib; it is what remains after you cut a St. Louis Style Rib. They part of the Breastbone, some Cartilage, and a layer of fat running through the Tip.
  20. They were the bones from the rib tips (Famous Dave's) that I had for dinner. I had them sitting in the container on the back of the stove so I could throw them out in the trash bin outside instead of my garbage can in the kitchen so he wouldn't get ahold of them. I forgot all about them until I came back inside from my phone call. I don't have any bread
