  1. So glad that Coco is better. Thanks for bringing this to our attention in case we ever come across it....hopefully, we won't.
  2. Hoping that Tootsie bounces back. Prayers from Wisconsin.
  3. Denise, I am so glad she is better. You take such good care of your dogs and I know you worry a lot about them..... Good girl, Patsie!!
  4. So glad he is eating a little.......We all know how special he is to you.
  5. What a sweetie. How long does the vet think he will have to have the apparatus? I hope it heals quickly. It's hard to keep a puppy quiet.
  6. Denise, I just saw this. I am so sorry that Patsie hasn't been feeling well, but I am glad that you found a vet -- even if it's not real close by -- that you feel comfortable with and isn't afraid to do the tests that need to be done. It's a good sign that she wanted a snack. I missed you at Midwest and hope you can make it to the event in Waukesha in October. I know it's hard now that you don't have your "built in babysitters." Prayers for Patsie and all of your pups as well as for you and Steve. I'll be thinking about you.
  7. Sending good thoughts and prayers that Freddie is okay. He's my very favorite Greytalk hound.

    Kc

I am so sorry. I know how much you will miss him. My first greyhound was named K.C. Her racing name was AMI a kc hound. Let's think about the two K.C.'s playing at the bridge, and all of the friends they will meet.
  12. Prayers and good thoughts for Eli.....I hope they can find out what the problem is and fix it quickly.
  13. Carla and Mr. Skorch are fine, but June Bug is very itchy. I would like to give the Benedryl a try. Do you only give one? She weighs around 63 lbs.
  14. Your girl is beautiful -- and what a lucky girl she is to have found your counch all the way from Spain....
  15. It's so nice to read some good news. Lots of hugs - - for Rusty....keep those potatoes coming. I know they taste good -- I like Kentucky Fried mashed potatoes myself when I'm sick too.
  16. I am so sorry. Let's pray that there is something that the doctor can do.
  17. I am so sorry -- run free sweet boy.
  18. I am so sorry about your sweet boy.
  19. No, Mr. Skorch did not have a dental before I adopted him. He was a return. There was no adoption fee; just a donation for him. The vet trimmed what he could, but his one nail is about an inch long. It sticks out straight, doesn't curl, and the toe next to the long one has no nail at all. Thanks, Jey... Mr. Skorch needs to go back in for a lyme booster. I'll talk with the vet at that time. His toe nail is totally black and you can't see the quick. To top it off, the nail is straight and doesn't have that little curve to it. I just don't want to hurt him. All of his other toenails are fine.
  20. We've had Mr. Skorch for a month. He had a clean bill of health, but he has one extremely long toenail. The vet casually said that he would be able to cut the toenail back if we decide to have a dental. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I've checked his teeth, and they are beautiful except for one on the lower side that is covered with white tartar. None of his teeth have brown stains. Has anyone ever had just one tooth cleaned. Can the vet do this without putting him under? I will ask the vet the next time Mr. Skorch goes in, but just curious. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
  21. A Dyson -- forget about it -- go for the dog every time.
  22. If you ever visit Wisconsin, I would love to go for a walk with you. Hiking is definitely out of the question....
  23. Now that your heart is back in your chest....... These things are scary. Glad that Major is going to be okay, although I know it would ease your mind if you knew what happened. Good thoughts for both of you.
