    That's what DBF did the first time he met Myka, he talked very soothingly and quietly and sat down on the floor and then laid on his back. She was instantly charmed. Be patient, too, it just takes some time for the shy ones to realize they ARE home and that everything WILL be ok

    Myka starts out on her dog bed in the bedroom but ends up usually (unless it's really cold) across the foot of my bed, part of her touching me and part of her touching DBF.

    OMG! How very stressful for ALL of you. I gave Myka non fat cottage cheese for a while, that or rice might help Rainey to feel full? I hope others have some advice for you... ETA, sorry just caught the no calcium info...

    I totally empathize, I had to give up my first grey Raven for the same reason. I was freaking heartbroken but thank goodness my group worked to get another wonderful dog in to my house and my heart right away.
