  1. Poor Lola I leave the radio or tv on and made a point of leaving often but only for short periods of time. I haven't had my grey very long and she's doing well with this so hopefully others will have some more ideas that will help.
  2. I'm so very very sorry for your loss.
  3. Welcome! He's a very handsome boy! Myka is making goo goo eyes at him
  4. Yup, will have to go with the rugs, the more scared she is the more she does the scooby scramble. She was ok for months and months until just recently but I just can't stand that she's scared in her own home.
  5. Welcome from Wine Country! Such pretty greys you have!
  6. Yes, Myka is allowed but only on 1 couch ( I have 2 in the living room) and only in her spot at the foot of the couch--no where else.
  7. OMG SOOOO many people said to me "Greys are nervous and excitable and hard to train and need lots of excercise" and you read that WHERE? What article? research? oh you didn't do any, huh?
  8. Ugh, the waiting is the worst part isn't it? Glad she's doing ok with her stitches and will continue to hope all is well.
  9. her professional photo aka My Lollipop the day I brought her home napping by my desk at work (look at those ribs, she was so skinny) Her eyeliner shot my favorite smile ETA We're in Nor Cal and I went through Wine Country Greyhounds Adoption to adopt my gir.
  10. I adopted Myka in Sept 09 and it took her a while to get used to the slippery wood floors but she seemed to manage just fine after a week or two. Now she's scared herself again, by slipping and doing the scooby scramble and is hugely hesitant to even come off of the carpeted stair case for her food or a walk. so far, I've just left her food where I always do, and occaisionally I'll leave a small treat in the kitchen for her to find so that she walks across the floor when *she* is ready. I don't want to rush her or scare her more, but some mornings she's missing her walk because she refuses to come downstairs. Any other ideas? thanks!
  11. is finding her way around
