  4. You're both in my thoughts. Praying no C.
  5. Oh such a scary sounding dx Lisa. I'm so sorry for you and Jazz. He is in my prayers. Hoping you all have some good, happy time together.
  6. Sorry Roscoe and you are going through this Lisa. I have no eye experience but getting him checked out by a specialist sounds like a smart thing to do. Hoping it's just an easy to get rid of infection.

    Tanner

I'm so very sorry Holly. Freeing him from his pain was a heartfelt give of love. GodSpeed Tanner.
  8. I don't think we can hide stress - especially on the level a hound would pick up on it. You, Ekko and the boys are in my thoughts and prayers. And an extra big hug for Ekko. Don't worry sweetheart - Momma's taking you too!!!
  9. Prayers and hugs coming for you all.
  10. Well at least I'm not the only one with a Momma's girl!!! Maggie hasn't been crated in years so I can't fall back on that. I think I'll try a few things maybe a combo will work. When I'm leaving the house, I'm going to have DH take the dogs outside to romp. Then when they come in, he can let them work on a rawhide for a bit. That usually tires her out pretty quickly (or else she just gets bored!). We'll see how that works. Thanks all for suggestions and support.
  11. DH is complaining about my perfect girlie. He says that in the last 3 months or so, she has started crying by the front door whenever I leave in the evening. Unconsolably whining and crying. It drives everyone nuts and my youngest son can't sleep while she's doing this. Now honestly, I go out in the evenings maybe 3-4 times a month for a meeting or BUNKO. When I go out during the day (and no one else is home), both dogs rush to sofas as soon as I'm closing the door and sleep till I get home (I've parked down the road and looked in my back windows). So what's up with this???? My DH tries to coax her to sit with him and cuddle. But he says no way will she stay on the sofa with him. She races right back to the door to cry. Really - I just can't take her everywhere I go. And DH hates me to leave now. This is making me so sad for Maggie and my family. Oh maybe this info will help someone to figure this out- I'm a SAHM and Maggie has been part of our family for 3.5 years. No big changes in our household.
  12. Forgive me if you have already discussed and coverred this - I'm jumping in late - but has Kelly been tested for giardia? When we got my mutt pup, we spent 6 months getting rid of now-you-see-it-now-you-don't worms and giardia. I hope the new vet can get to the bottom of Kelly's issues. And I think you sound like a very good houndie mum.
  13. I'd bite the $$$ bullet and get to the vet. Your volunteers will understand - they would do it for their hounds. Prayers and healthy thoughts coming for Hank. And - prayers coming for a safe trip for your hubby and child. How wonderful - congratulations.
  14. Cindy is in my thoughts today. Hoping for a UTI!

  17. Many prayers coming for you and your sweet Brandy.
  18. I'm so very sorry. Someone wrote to a friend of mine who lost their greyhound puppy after one week. "You could have loved her longer, but you couldn't have loved her more." You gave her the greatest gift - to be a beloved family member.
