  1. I would stop feeding anything but the kibble. Most greys get upset bellies when they go to a new home and the more things you feed, the more it could upset the belly. I try not to even give many treats until they're more settled. I try to get the belly settled first.
  2. I'd just give the kibble and water and give about 2 cups a meal.

I'm so sorry. I always looked forward to pictures of the beautiful girl.
  4. Do you know of any way that she hurt herself? If not, I'd ask for X-rays. Also, I've heard that some dogs get anxious and don't do well on tramadol.
  5. I've taken my dogs to dog parks and I take their leashes off immediately as has everyone else. It's the norm. I wouldn't bother going it they needed to be on leash. I stopped going because it's far away and Bu just napped and Sailor hated walking on the mulch so he just stood there. Not all dogs are good candidates for the dog park for a variety of reasons. While greyhounds usually enjoy a good run every so often, most don't need it. A nice long leash walk will usually suffice. Obedience classes are another way to drain energy and to bond. I recommend positive reinforcement methods. I also don't have a yard and my dogs do just fine with leash walks.
  6. I get mine at Costco. It's 100% extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil. I can't remember the brand.
  7. While jumping can be a dangerous behavior, they can knock someone down, scratch them, head butt them knocking out a tooth, etc, it's not aggressive. He's not meaning to harm anyone. Avoiding people can make it worse because then he'll be even more excited when he does get to say hi. It can take time. One thing to do is to step on the leash so he can't jump. You'll want to work on having him follow other commands so that eventually you won't need to do it, but it should help in the mean time.
  8. I think obedience classes would be great for him. If he learns to sit or down you can ask him to do that when he's ready to jump. With lots of treats and positive reinforcement he'll learn the proper behavior. It doesn't sound at all aggressive to me. Many dogs like to jump on people. It's over exuberant, but not usually aggressive.
  9. Give treats when anything she's afraid of is around. As she gets better, move closer. Stop people from petting her and have them give treats instead. Sailor doesn't like being pet by strangers, neither do I, so i don't force it on him. I stop people and have them give him treats and Sailor does tricks for them. Everyone's happy because they're interacting, but no one is touching him.
  10. Dasuquin plus MSM and occasionally coconut oil. I started with Cosuquin, but my vet recommended switching to the Dasuquin.
  11. I'd get a urine test. It is possible it's the food. Bu once tried a wet food that caused excessive peeing and he was only getting 1-2 spoonfuls a day! It's not a common problem though.

  13. I buy from Amazon. I get the chewy ones because Bu won't eat the pills and I didn't want to pull him every day if I didn't have to. I spend $80-$90 for 150 pills.
  14. I can't add it to Bu's food because he avoids it. It actually looks like it comes out of Sailor undigested.
  15. I can't get Bu to eat it and Sailor will only eat it if it's in small chunks, which is a pain. It also affects his poop a bit. So, I've kind of given up on coconut oil for them.
  16. Have a you tried sound effect CDs? You start with them really low, as in so quiet you can't even hear it and turn it up just the slightest bit every few days/weeks.
  17. Put some peanut butter in the muzzle to help distract him.
  18. I only have my phone. How do I prop it up?
  19. No really, Sailor is dumb. We go to my friends house often. She has a fenced in yard. Sailor goes out and forgets how to come back in and we have to go fetch him. This can happen multiple times in a day. In obedience class even out very advanced teacher couldn't figure out how to get him to learn certain things. Thankfully he's very pretty. It's hard to get video of myself!
  20. I wish you'd taken a video of her chasing the horse and the horse chasing her.
  21. Bu is still in agility. Sailor is still dumb.
  22. That's the same as Sailor. He's totally fine with other dogs. In fact, there was a dog aggressive boxer in one of his classes that he became buddies with. If any other dog went near the boxer, it would flip, but she loved Sailor. People are Sailors issue. He just doesn't like them. He's not aggressive, but they make him nervous. New places are tolerable if it's just me and I stick with him, but once strangers are added in he's a mess. He goes everywhere with me, so he's gotten better, but still very nervous. He gets lots of treats to get him through.
  23. You can even throw the treats when others are in the room once you can get in there. Sailor was always on leash and I was careful where I threw them. Good luck!
