  1. I used this for Loca. Both the vet and I were thrilled with me.
  2. I watched two greyhounds that belong to my friends. They both eat Iams Green and are doing great. They eaten since they were adopted. One if 11 years old and the other is 9.
  3. He was supposed to have been negative for this when I adopted him in 2006. Do you know if false negatives are common or if it could have been dormant? I'm pretty sure it can lay dormant. The same thing happened to a local galgo, one of GT's Lady Bailey's (Eva) dogs. He had to be diagnosed by OSU. Maybe you can pm her for more info. Dr. Couto goes to Scooby at least once a year and he helps train vet students in Spain. He is a real expert on galgos. Can I email to Couto myself, or should an email come from my vet? You can do it yourself. https://greyhound.osu.edu/consultationservice/

  5. How scary! Hope he feels better very soon.
  6. Check for Leishmaniasis. It is a disease that is common in Spain, especially in the south. It is transmitted by a bite from a sandfly. You might have to consult with OSU for diagnosis, as it's difficult to find a knowledgable vet in North America. http://www.greyhoundsinneed.co.uk/info_greyhound_galgo/info_frame.htm?http&&&www.greyhoundsinneed.co.uk/info_greyhound_galgo/mediterranean.htm I'm sorry I didn't see your other thread
  7. I didn't realize he's been with you for so long. Hopefully another vet trip can help. I'm sure there are people here who can help much more than I can. Good luck.
  8. Do you want him to remain in your home? If not, return him to your group. When did you adopt him? Have you tried getting rid of the crate, leaving him alone and letting him adjust at his own pace?
  9. Claudia, I'm not longer on FB, so I didn't know until Gail told me. I'm so very, very sorry. I loved her like she was my own. Just think about the hell Ekko and Loca must be raising now that they've finally met! Rest well, Ekko. We'll all miss you.
  10. I sometimes work long hours plus I travel a lot. All you need is a reliable dog walker that will spend quality time with your dog when you have to keep long hours. There is also somebody here on GT named carronstar. I'm pretty sure she lives in Manhattan.
  11. How awful. I'm so sorry
  12. He might just be nervous and restless. It may take a little while for him to settle in. Be patient and let him do his own thing. Congratulations! Linda knows what she's talking about; Treasure came from GAO, also.
  13. This breaks my heart. The hounds that no nothing more than their own backyards I think it's very common
