  1. Cocoa is home from her surgery today. She is groggy, but doing well. We should have the biopsy in 5 to 7 days.
  2. Her lungs were clear! So good new!! We are going to get the growth removed this Friday.
  3. Thank you for all the information and comments. I am moving forward with the x-ray this afternoon.
  4. My greyhound Cocoa, who will be 11 in October, was diagnosed with a mammary tumor today. (I just noticed the growth on Saturday.) I have no familiarity with this type of tumor. Our regular vet is not in this week, so I had to see someone I did not know. He said that the growth, which is 2.5 cm, could be equally benign as malignant. He also said that this type of tumor does not aspirate well. His recommendation were to get an x-ray to see if there is anything in her lungs. If there is nothing in her lungs, then remove the entire growth and have it biopsied. Does anyone have any familiarity with this type of tumor? Thanks for any information you can share!
  5. I am one of the many that never met Bee Wiseman, but always loved seeing the pictures and the posts about her. I am so sorry to see this post, but am always happy to know that a greyhound was truly loved. . Run free, Bee Wiseman
  6. Linda . I am so sorry to read this news, but am relieved that Molly is not suffering. Run free, Molly. You were a special lady. Michelle

  8. What ChiliDog said, a hundred-fold. Dang, those allergies are contagious! Welcome home, Jonah. We have been awaiting your arrival in the club.
  9. Mine have all differed with the shortest being two weeks after diagnosis and the longest being almost one year. With the one year, chemo/treatment was an option for us. With the first one, I am still wracked with guilt (tearing up right now) as I did not balance very well quality of life and wanting my special boy not to be gone. With each diagnosis (only three in total), we are getting better with that balance and truly looking at what is best for the pet. Susan said it best in another thread, no one has ever complained that they let their dog go too early. Melissa and your family are in our thoughts. Michelle
