I am so sorry to hear this. I saw sweet little Scarlett being pulled around in her cart. I'm sure her family is thankful that she lived a very long and happy life! Run free sweet Scarlett!!

I'm not financially in a position to spend a lot of money, but if it was for Quiet Man's care, I would find a way, someway, somehow. I would let him eat before I ate, that's how much I love this dog. As far as the work situation goes, my employer does NOT recognize pets as part of the family! Twice now I have had to call out because of emergencies w/ Quiet Man, and both times I got in "trouble". It just kills me that if I had said I had no child care available, or I was tending to a sick relative, they would've let me off... no questions asked! I am penalized because my closest family member happens to be my dog!

I was one of the ones who got nothing last year . But I didn't let it bother me, I had just as much fun getting my gift together for my SS as I would have if I received one! Just remember that it does happen, for whatever reason, we are such a huge group now, and most of us are awesome! I think it's also important to remember that everyone can give different things, whatever they can afford, some gifts are very extravagant and more than the allotted amount, some are homemade or less money, etc. But they're all greyt gifts! A few times I felt mine may have been less than what others received, but the point to remember is it's all fun and send what you can, don't feel bad about not giving enough....it's greyt just to get a surprise package!! Trudy, we also have to establish if the SS reveals themselves in the package, or on GT.

Bomber, I am crying for you and your mom. We will always wonder why the young ones are taken so suddenly, but Bomber knows that he was loved and I'm so glad you could hold him until the end. Run free sweet boy....

$45 just to walk in the door! But I don't feel it's my vet in particular who is overpaid. He's wonderful, knowledgable, caring. I think it's the practice that is overpaid. The fees for lab tests, prescriptions, etc. are really high. But my baby's worth it, he loves his vet and so do I!

I've heard the tomato juice thing doesn't really work. The hydrogen peroxide/dish detergent seems to work, but I don't know the exact recipe. When Quiet Man got sprayed last year, we just had to live with it overnight until we could get him to the groomer's the next morning, because we have no place to bathe him and it was too cold to do it outside. The groomer's did miracles on him, he came out smelling wonderful, but our house on the otherhand was totally skunked! He rubbed all over everything! His collar had to be thrown away, along w/ some pillows. EVERYTHING had to be washed...beds, sheets, stuffies, etc. And we had to clean our carpets, sofa, etc. The windows had to be kept open w/ fans running and air freshener for at least 2 weeks. Even when I went away when I opened my suitcase I could smell the skunk! It was such an awful experience, and we don't let him outside alone after dark anymore! I'm sure someone on here can give you the recipe....good luck! Did he get skunked, or are you just being proactive?

I heard she was hit by a train, as the woods she was spotted in were dangerously close to the RR tracks. I am so sad and devastated and wish we had more luck in our searches....she was a little trooper! God bless you, sweet Abby.

I've noticed them too...but it seemed to go away after a while...an excitement thing? I don't blame you for prodding them...warning this may gross some of you out, but I thought Quiet Man had some discharge coming out of his hoo hoo the other day, so I wiped it off....(with my finger!)I think it was dried pee-pee!
