  1. I know Cookie's skin is very sensitive- I'm sure any thin skinned dog/animal would feel the same way. I wouldn't dare pick her up for fear of accidentally pinching her skin. She's very touchy about that. In fact, one day while on leash one of the wiener dogs went through her legs and before I could fish him back through, the leash pinched her skin and she jumped up and bit me. I've had to teach the wiener dogs not to go through legs, which I think has improved quite a bit. We all live and learn- and move on, hopefully with a better understanding of what we can and can't do with our pets. As far as Zero's personality change, Cookie's personality "changed", but she just got more settled in and comfortable. Her latest feat is pulling the crock part of the crock pot off the counter and breaking it. She's also learned how to open the refrigator and unload my cupboards. She is who she is.
  2. I had to find a new place to order also...didn't know Entirely Pets had closed their pharmacy section. I ended up going to Vet Depot. Their price was as competitive as I could get at the moment.
  3. Cookie started settling in- and showing me what a smart girl she is at about the same time frame you're describing! I have a refrigerator lock, and cupboard locks and the counters are cleared off of food. Her newest little trick- she broke my crockpot. I keep doors closed that she's not supposed to be in and she does ok. I do muzzle her when I'm gone most of the time (thank you, Kennelmom for the moleskin suggestion).
  4. My greyhound, Cookie, has dry skin. Wellness food seemed to help, and I also give her 3 fish caplets once a day (sometimes we skip doses, but most of the time not). I also use Vitamin E oil with the fish oil. Her one litter mate has dry skin, and last I heard, he was doing good on the Wellness. These are all good suggestions also- things I haven't tried that I'll have to consider in the future.
  5. We're sending our prayers as well- please just be a limp for Llenny!
  6. I wet the kibble. I did notice this when I was on the Dog Food Analysis site, and was like when I was researching different foods. This was for the Prairie brand of food.
  7. Well...I guess Ollie knows what he likes! I really don't know have any other advice than banning him. My Cookie can't be on furniture b/c she can't share either.
  8. What is your website? I didn't if it changed or not...
  9. Very sorry, and my condolences go to her family and many close friends.
  10. to GT!! I'm from Pa as well- in the upper portion of Pa however (Bradford Co.).
  11. I don't give them to Cookie anymore. I've found they cause some stomach upset and diarrhea. I think they work for some stomachs and not others.
  12. I am so sorry. I will miss seeing picture updates of Zoey.
  13. RIP, Baxter. That was a very moving tribute.
  14. Totally agree with the mineral oil thing- it's a home remedy my mom used to give to the horses that colicked. Mineral oil works.

    Gunda

I am so sorry about Gunda.
  16. No they didn't. Glad Merlin is doing better and hope he bounces back to his old self.
  17. So sorry about Merlin- this has to be really scary. Hoping he feels better. Last year, the local vet gave my dachshund lepto and rabies at the same time. He ended up getting sick that day, was lethargic, and seemed to have pain- to the point I couldn't move him off the bed or he would snap at me. He got better, but then after reading up on it, found out the vet the should have never given him the vaccines together and that smaller dogs usually aren't administered Lepto.
  18. So very sorry for your loss. Run free, Trevor.
