  1. I am very sorry. My thoughts are with you.
  2. Congratulations! How exciting! Eagle is beautiful. But how will you wait until 4/19???
  3. Bag Balm for the pads, in the square green tin. It can be found at Walgreens and many other places.
  4. I am very sorry. But it is good to know Isis has had a long and loved life already, whatever happens after this point.
  5. I thought I could skip December through February, but when I was in New York state with Beth over Christmas vacation, I found a couple of ticks on her after walks in the woods. So next year I will only pass on Jan. and Feb. in frigid Iowa.
  6. Welcome from Iowa! Looking forward to the pics!
  7. Welcome from a scholar of early New England living in Iowa!
  8. I've been away most of the past week and just saw this. I am so shocked and terribly sorry. I know there has never been a more cherished greyhound. Rest in peace beautiful Polli.
  9. Welcome from Iowa! I just got my grey in August too. Nuri is handsome and looks very happy!
  10. Welcome from Iowa! I'm glad Johnny has found a happy home. Hey, if you know of or discover good off-leash areas around Greenville (even unfenced) besides what is the apparently quite small local dog park, can you let me know? My best friend is from there and visits her family for extended periods with her (non-grey) dog, and never can find a good place to take him ... he's an explorer and gets really bored in regular dog parks.
  11. Welcome from Iowa! We'll be excited to hear about your new hound!
  12. I am really sorry to hear about this. Polli and your family are in my thoughts.
  13. Welcome! I'd love to see pics of Goldie, AND of your cats! (I kind of like the name . . . but then, my middle name is Golda, named for my great-grandmother Goldie. )
  14. I am very sorry. What a sweet face he had.
  15. I am so sorry -- I can't imagine living through two back to back diagnoses. But I agree that if the end might be so close, it doesn't seem so fair to Caesar to change his world and take a significant portion of your attention off him....
  16. I am terribly sorry. That's awful, to have this all unfold so suddenly. I wish peace to you and Shuggie.
  17. Welcome to GT! Potter is handsome! I have a white and brindle too with very similar markings, but not his cute hiney spot.
  18. I am very sorry. I loved the pictures -- as everyone else has said, so very beautiful.
  19. Just read this now. Polli is in my thoughts. I'm glad she's eating again!
  20. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my heart kitty Quinn back in August, also from cancer. What a wonderful portrait, and how lucky you are to have it. Beady looks immensely huggable and lovable.
  21. What a wonderful, wonderful story. Thank you for rescuing Dayton. We are thrilled to have you and Dayton here; hope you'll post often and update us on his doings!
  22. There is a FABULOUS new injectable antibiotic called Convenia (for both dogs and cats) that is extremely effective on UTIs. And it has no GI effects. One shot works for about two weeks. Expensive but absolutely worth it in my view. My cat had a severe UTI/kidney infection, and stopped eating on Clavamox. It took about six weeks of Convenia to clear things up, but it worked, and no side effects. My cat's vet raves about what good results they're having with it. Convenia is quite new, but you should absolutely ask your vet about it.
  23. Welcome to you and Barney! I got my grey in September after also only having had cats all my life. Barney sounds like he's doing great, congratulations!
