  1. I am so sorry. Definitely keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers. Fly with the angels, Twister.
  2. I am so terribly sorry. Godspeed, Tony.
  3. I am so sorry to hear this. I know you will, but please impress upon your father the importance of swift decisions right now. Palliative care or amputation, the sooner he makes a decision and starts the process, the better it is for his pup.
  4. I am so very sorry. Run free, Dot.
  5. This is the best guidance you will get. It is heartwrenching but having gone through it multiple times, we all know the sad truth is that WE can get through it no matter how very much it seems like we won't.

I am so very sorry. Run free pretty Sophie.
  7. My heart is breaking for you. I followed Minny's story and was praying for a better ending for you both. Minny was filled with some very special magic. Godspeed, Minny.
  8. The soaks need to be done at least twice a day for a few days, that gives the foreign object time to loosen and move and ultimately work its way out. I went through something similar with Scarlett, hers was embedded so deep that even the vet couldn't find it but it was in the webbing and worked its way out within about 10 days. Hope Bella is feeling better.
  9. Sending healing thoughts for both of you.
  10. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
  11. I am so very sorry. Godspeed, Em -- Dash.
  12. I am so very sorry. Run free, Nala.
  13. Happy anniversary, Gracy. I'm sure you will be spoiled rotten!
  14. Poor Heart. Sending lots of prayers and good thoughts her way.
  15. I am so very happy that your boy is home with him where he belongs. One of the great things about these pups is that he will most likely forget all about his few bad days and just be happy to be with you. I am so happy that you are together. Love on him, and both of you take good care of each other. I agree with you, I wish you had it on tape. I was lucky when I lost Morgaine following her seizures and the vet who treated her was *itch on wheels. I was on the phone with my own vet who knew her, all I wanted to know was that she was a good doctor for my girl -- her people skills sucked in every possible way, she actually said it wasn't status epilepticus but that either I or my walker had let her pick up poisoned food on her walk -- he promised me that she was an excellent vet but that it was widely known that her people skills were lacking. She actually had to re-do that part of vet school. When he called her to follow-up after Morgaine died, she wouldn't talk to him. He then went to the owner of the practice and went through the file with him, that vet agreed that it was status and put my vet's complaint in the record. I really will let a lot happen to me but I don't have an "off" or "mute" button when it comes to my pups. I am just so sorry that on top of the medical concerns, your emotional concerns, etc. that you had a run in with such a horrible practice. It sure sounds like they all could use a big lesson in empathy and compassion.
  16. Many continued prayers. You are clearly a nicer person than I am. I would have already made a laminated sign and attached it to the crate, whether they liked it or not. I also agree about fighting any billing for their errors. My first girl, Scarlett, developed a baseball sized blood clot due to an error on a re-stitch surgery. The on-call evet was exceptionally rude when we needed to bring her in late on a Sunday night to address the issue. Once she was released to me, I informed them that I would be bringing her to the office every morning for them to take care of her, and that they would not be billing me for those days. She was in care and rebandaged daily and they didn't charge me. I have to admit that I also raised quite the ruckus about the on-call vets attitude and behavior! Hurt me all you want but hurt my pup and I become quite militant!
