  1. "But, I just want you all to remember, that she did live and was loved, for the couple months she was here!!!" And that says it all. Godspeed, dear Maggie. Run and play and chase that disc and give your Mom and Dad, yes, your Mom and Dad who had you in their hearts and home, a roooooo once in a while, OK? Jennifer
  2. How smart is she?! I love it! Dogs are one of the very few animal species known to understand what it means when a human points to something. Even primates can't do it; it's theorized that it's due to the tight bond domesticated dogs have developed with humans. But now here's evidence that humans understand what it means when a dog points to something Jennifer
  3. He must have had the biggest ever a dog did have Jennifer

  10. You DO have a wonderful vet And as much as I would love to see them, maybe we should knot see photos of Soul in his boxers? If he ever knew we had seen them, I fear he'd be mortified Jennifer

    Sari

Thank you for the reminder. You are well and truly loved, dear Sari. May you come back to us again, in a long-lived and beloved incarnation. Jennifer
  13. I think I would go to the vet now Jennifer
  14. Did Dr Katie say give it if he feels worse or that it would actually treat the reaction? If he's sleeping comfortably, you "might" want to wait. On the other paw, if it will bring down his fever or make him more comfortable, then you could try one when he wakes ... that was helpful, huh ? Jennifer
  15. Oh, honey Hopefully you'll be talking to the vet in the next few minutes. This is for Merlin Jennifer
  16. Oh, yes, of course! Oh, I should have made that clear, please forgive me!!!! Jennifer, very embarrassed
  17. OK, since you asked or else I wouldn't reply because I know it can be a sensitive topic ... They use magnets to find and remove metal implants since those don't usually burn up. They use a sort of grinder/pulveriser to make any large bone pieces (they don't all get ashy or small) small enough to go into the box. Pacemakers and such are removed first as they will explode in the chamber and leak out toxic metals (which they do NOT do in the body, no worries!) to all who have lost beloved ones, Jennifer
  18. Exactly. I'm so very sorry. And I *do* think the Dream Star Dog was a message from Juneau , Jennifer
  19. Yep, I always wear my raptor gloves to handle squirrels, even young ones. They have some teeth on them! At least they rarely carry and even more rarely transmit rabies, so your houndies shouldn't need a rabies booster. Jennifer
