  1. Of course today he is limping because of the manipulation for the x ray. I'm trying not to compare with what happened with polli but it is exactly what happened. Dear Lord, please let this outcome be different. No cancer.
  2. For us, it was our beloved Polli at 9 years, 9 months. She started limping severely. We had the leg x-rayed. Nothing showed up. Over the course of a year she limped on and off. We rested, deramaxx, etc when necessary. One year after the x-ray she was limping for about 5 days. I was going to bring her in but she tripped on the steps, fractured the leg. It was osteo. We did an amputation immediately. 5 rounds of chemo. She did well. My cookie monster, my trooper. Osteo got her. We were blindsided. We had 5 months after the initial diagnosis. I have her son, Beau who just developed some lameness in the same leg. If my dogs are limping after 3-5 days of rest and antiinflammatories, they go to the vet. I usually only wait 3 days. Hoping your baby is OK.
  3. Beau has a corn or 2 that we thought was bothering him so we took him in to have them checked. Beau's feet are a no no- off limits and we respect that. When vet was checking out his legs, he cried out in pain. Normally, she would not have been too alarmed but would have had me treat with an antiamflammatory and watch it for a few days. But because it's Beau and his history and the fact that we lost his momma to osteo in the same leg, she did an ex-ray. It was clear. However, Polli's x-ray was clear too when she started her limping. She limped on and off for a year- then it happened. The fracture and you know how that story went. Sigh. Beau- attached to my heart strings. Literally. Vet wants me to just watch him, and we will recheck x-rays in a few weeks if he is still having any limping going on. I want to enjoy him to the max and not dwell on what might or might not be. But, if you could kee my baby boy in your thoughts and prayers... the power of GT has worked for so many of us at so many different times... We would really appreciate it. I love this boy, I can not begin to explain the depth. He is my baby boy. my Beau Beau and his momma, Polli

  9. I am in shock and I cry with you. God Speed Rainey girl, you will be missed.
  10. YES that is Yaz too! I brought in the treats he gets, food label to Kirkland, Fresh Factors, Joint Health, Vitamin E, no allergies It is anywhere from an 1-4 hours after eating. Doesn't seem to matter amount of activity and the food is not that well digested, you can still see any fresh factors/fish oil caps/treats ect in amongst the dog food mush Thank you RobinM I know have more hope this is something fixable, since your fur baby is doing better! I hate when they say they don't know what it is and of course THE WAITING GAME!!!! Thank you all for the prayers and please keep the good thoughts coming! Well, it's not a diagnosis, but my vet did say that if they are throwing up, it's MUCH better if it's after they have eaten rather than eating and puking. So... that is a good thing!!! As of today, we are 9 days no pukey. We did start probiotics to help with digestion of her food. I am sure Yaz will be ok too.
  11. Sending lots of prayers for Yaz. Is he throwing up immediately after eating or a little bit later? I am going through this with my Chloe who is 6.5 She was checked twice. The 2nd time was last Monday and we did a full panel. Her labs were perfect, she checked out physically fine. Nothing obvious in the abdomen. Chloe had been throwing up an hour or 3 after she ate. Vet feels it's something to do with her aging system even though she is not old. She is just not processing the food through as she had been. We are starting on a probiotic before we start with any meds like regalan. As of tonight, she hasn't thrown up since last Friday.
  12. We remember Lewis... missed by all.
  13. I totaaly defrost. If its still a bit frozen shortly before feeding time at the zoo, I will put the bag in room temp/lukewarm water and within 1/2 hour, we are good to go. I'll check it when I get home from work, put it in water, go upstairs change my clothes, play with pups and then feed them,

I am so sorry. I losr my white with red brindle after amp/chemo at 10 years, 2 months.
  17. they do experience a lot of stress during this adjustment period. My Polli would start shaking with incredibly heavy panting and sometimes she would just scream out. It was a tough period and this is when I wondered ** did I do to her. 10mg of valium helped Polli to take the edge off her anxiety and after this hurdle was over, I knew exactly what I had done FOR her and it was wonderful, while it lasted. If you think it's anxiety, ask your vet for something.
  18. I did not read through all the posts but I wouldn't have them wear it. Greyhounds are known not to do well with them.
  19. She is beautiful and will be stunning when full grown. Hoping you have many happy and healthy years together.
  20. Not a greyt test. My Polli walked fine on grass but not on cement for a horrible limp (Think Igor from Young Frankenstein) we had x-rays and nothing showed up. Limp cleared up and one year later almost to the day, she fractured same leg and it was osteo. after 3 days of limping, I go to the vet. At 4-it's probably a sprain. YIKES. Just read your update. Hope things get better fast.
