    Daisey Mae

I'm so sorry that Daisey Mae had to leave, especially at such a young age, and especially now. Words seem so inadequate at this time. I hope things start looking up soon.

  7. Ah Dee, I'm so so sorry...it's so painful when we lose another one of these gentle beautiful souls. Rest well sweet Abby, you will be missed by many of us, but not forgotten.
  8. Can you put a piece of furniture or something on the spot? Sometimes they pee on the same spot no matter how much you clean it. Is she peeing more than usual? Could be a uti.
  9. Congratulations...he looks like he will be so much fun.
  10. I read a book recently by Malcolm Gladwell, I've read a lot of his books so I can't remember which one it was but I think it was "Outliers" and it described how it is the way Caesar moves and not what he does with the dog that works. the fluidity of his movement, the slight tilt of his head, movements that most of us cannot replicate. I also read an article that debunked Caesar's methods with great explanations. I'm sure you can google it.
  11. Sending good thoughts that you'll get answers soon and Robin will soon be back to his ol cowdoggy self. Poor baby
  12. It's so beautiful...I did learn a lot about myself from Bailey, especially how compassionate I am. Thank you sharing your wonderful poem.
  13. I'm so sorry for your loss...it's so painful when it's time for them to leave us.
  14. Bailey was extremely shy and it took months for her to come out of her crate. We gradually closed the door to her crate for a few minutes at a time so she could explore and find out it was ok outside the crate. This took months. I agree, let her eat where she feels safe...gradually as she get more comfortable, you'll be able to slowly move it back to her regular spot. It sounds like there's a lot of "uncomfortableness" going on in her world right now, she needs to feel safe and secure more than you need/want her to feel comfortable.
  15. Brooke - while sleeping 8 breaths/minute I checked it 3 times. Of course she's just 4 years old and still runs a lot, so I chalk it up to age and athleticism.
  16. I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye to Minnie Momma. She is so beautiful.
  17. Sending and for Elsie and for mom! I expect to see you at Dewey Miss Elsie so get well soon!
