  1. Poor Sophie...she needs a big kiss on the top of her head and a cookie. I hope she gets good news. My first thought was ringworm too-just because of the compromised immune system. My Dad kept getting fungal skin infections while he was on chemo. Hope your vet gives you good news.
  2. That's what we do, as the pups figure it out after awhile and then they won't eat whatever it is ever again. So now we cram and hold said treat in front of nose which causes swallowing, and then they get the treat- I agree, pilling sucks.
  3. Poor Mazie! Epsom salts are what Diesel gets to soak in, and then neosporin on the ugly part. The dogs down here get something stuck between the nail in that fold and it gets infected. (Cheet grass here...) Wonder if it was something while she was digging?
  4. All of the above! Feet are usually something topical or food. Did you have allergy testing done? Recent lawn treatments? If you need a simple elimanation diet-we are using Wellness Simple Solutions. They have a Duck and Potato I think, but we are using Venison and Rice. No snacks other than the kibble or treats or anything. We learned that Hogan can do milk, but dumb me didn't understand the ingredients on the yogurt (fructose is made from corn syrup) and after a week there was a reaction. Allergies are tricky.
  5. Oh Sophie! Big kisses for you! Keep healing girl!
  6. More prayers, more hugs, more strength coming your way... I'm so sorry Terri
  7. Lucy and Diesel are My Rooster kids, so half sibs of Lambie Pie....
  8. I am so sorry. I never met Walter, but I felt like I had.
  9. Thanks guys, for all the replies. I am better armed when I see the vet next week. Diesel will be 9 pretty quick, so he has a long life ahead of him. I just hate to see him miserable, and it kills me when he cries while putting on his pj's.
  10. The 3 way pill from costco, I'm taking it too. I am going to try the separate ones though... Diesel takes pepcid already, and I think I am going to have to get a pill box to keep track the way they are stacking up... Thank you for the input. I appreciate it, I knew you guys would have good info.
  11. I am curious if anybody has an opinion, recommendation for a pain reliever for Diesel. I think he may just need a daily dose, since his arthritis is getting bad. I have him on glucosamine, msm, and chondroiton-but it doesn't seem to be enough. The vet gave me Deramaxx for him because I am uncomfortable with Rimadyl, and he is all stretched out and relaxed now. Is this stuff safe to use long term? He just doesn't last if he doesn't get it every day.
  12. I am so sorry. Run free sweet Slick.

  14. I am so sorry. He was one of the first greys on GT that I felt like I "knew". Again, I am so sorry. He loves you, always and forever. Run free sweet Cat.
