Hi dougclarke!! Welcome to GT. I lost my first & only grey, Cody, the previous January, she was 12 & 1/2. I also haven't gotten another yet, but it's due to my old grumpy cat who LOVES being an only pet now!! She gets to have her time... then when she goes, I'll get 2 kitties who actually like each other AND a grey!! (That's the plan, anyway!) So there are other greyless addicts... I mean aficianados of course!!... here on GT. We'd love to see pix of your girl Carrie!

I know a Hungarian living in Italy as well. and I have several Hungarian friends - unfortunately, the only Hungarian I know is RUDE!! That's all they'll teach me - and I don't want to learn that!) Please feel welcome here - we all LOVE sighthounds, and greyhounds (any kind!) in particular!! I think you're the only Hungarian greyhound owner so far!!! (I'll try to get my friends to write out something for you in Hungarian!)

I've given friends a matted pic of their pup, matted with a nice greyhound drawing (usually greeting cards I buy at Dewey) - I have a nice one of a grey upp in the sky with stars that works well. Then I take a gold or silver marker & put the pet's name & dates on the bottom... If you can cut mats, it makes a good gift.

So sorry about Rosceaux... I've never had a pet bird but friends have had them & they're so entertaining... She had a good long life with you and will now terrorize everyone at the bridge! (Her personality sounds a lot like my cat...)

Hi Cody! It was 10 years ago today that I brought you home - a wiggly skinny mass of smiles. I had NO clue what I was doing but you trained me very well and after a few months, we were fine. I hope there are lots of stuffies (with squeakers intact!) and burpdog biscuits at the bridge for you... I miss you, sweetie!! Go find some of the new bridge angels & show them the ropes, won't you? We had a great 8 years, didn't we?
