I'm so sorry. MY heart hurts for you because I remember the feeling of helplessness all too well. Seems she might be telling you, however, and now you just need to allow her to go if she needs to. Dang, it is so hard though...
Get well soon, Guenivere.
Mine came to me with an amputated toe that was healed and did not cause any future problems so I don't have any practical advice. If that is what needed to happen, I am betting she will adjust. Leash walks and good pain killers? Thanks for taking care of her.
Welcome! There is nothing better than the older brindle guys... I know because I have one. I also have an adopted pup from HOT and they are a good group. Have fun here on Greytalk.
I give my guys either Solid Gold Seameal or Longevity powder from Springtime, Inc. Either product has helped with bald thigh hair growth on my guys. You can get the Solid Gold at Petco but you have to order the Longevity on the phone or online.
I like Sentinel.
When I need to watch costs, I get the MultiGuard product from pets-megastore.com.au
The only difference is that Ivermectin is the heartworm protectant in the Multiguard. Everything else is the same as Sentinel.
You can also order a combo of HeartGuard and ProFen (which is their Program for the US market) fairly inexpensively.
I've never had any problem with these products, they offer free shipping sometimes and get everything to you relatively quickly.
A friend of mine is using Comfortis on her greys and doing fine with it but I'm going to take a wait and see with that one.
