Our greyhound Brenda is in the Listeria Clinical Trial at Ohio State University Veterinary Clinic. She will have her first chemo treatment Thursday February 15th. The clinic doing the trial where Bowie is going to get the vaccine had their training by Aratana today. They have been doing other phases of the same vaccine. The vet said that they like to keep the dogs for 24 hours post intention as they can develop flu-like symptoms. They are supposed to contact me when they are going to start. The vet said there was a problem with the wording of the label, so the USDA was making Aratana change it. It's supposed to be about $1,000 per dose, so $3,000 for all 3. I'm hoping she will be getting it next week.
