krissy
I'm a huge supporter of pet insurance, though I try to remind people not to look at the amount of premiums paid and the amount they got back. When your pet is sick or injured, hands down you always come out ahead. Over the long haul, coming out ahead means a sick pet which sucks. I tell people to look at it as peace of mind. You're paying for the reassurance that when something big happens, you'll be able to afford it without putting other aspects of your life at risk. So it's important to look into the insurance policy you're purchasing and talk to other people who have had insurance from the same company to see how they've liked their coverage. In Canada, Trupanion and PetSecure are the big ones, and overall they're both really good. Most of my clients are happy with them. And I'm happy with them, because pets with insurance tend to get better, prompter medical care. 4My2Greys
I agree wholeheartedly with Krissy. I would have given anything to have not recouped a penny of the monthly premiums I paid out for Chase. Editing to add that it is important for people to realize how expensive pet health care can be and so should be ready with insurance. I will never have another pet without insurance. I convinced my mother to take out insurance on the new kitten she recently got. Edited December 23, 2016 by 4My2Greys

Beachbum1
Taylor, with Embrace, paid out $13,500.00 over 2 years, covering 80% of all of his Osteo care, at a premium cost of $1000.00 for the 2 years. I would have reimbursement checks within 2 weeks of submitting a claim, every single time. Dozens and dozens of claims.
