Burpdog
I placed foster Gracie (Dobe) into a foster with intent last Saturday. Tuesday she went to the vet and a hw test was done and she has both adult heart worms and microfilaria. So, she came back. Her adoption group does the slow kill (as many do because of the treatment, not just the cost) and my vet is on board with it. Gracie will start doxy for a month and get Heartguard every two weeks for probably 18 months. Here's hoping. It's possible from what I've read for her to throw an embolism but not as probable as the injections. I need some more stress in my life She almost always has a stuffy in her mouth. Rare picture without! Quote Diane & The Senior Gang Burpdog Biscuits

Guest Houston1219
She's so sweet! Good luck to her smooth recovery. I grew up with a female doberman. We got her when I was 11 and she passed when I was 24. She was part of our huge 6 kid family from the day she came home. She was a small female with floppy almost greyhound ears. Such sweet tempered dogs!
