Diarrhea, Few Days Apart

Recommended Posts

I've had Uri for almost 6 years and his bowels are always very, very regular.

Saturday night, in the middle of the night, he had awful diarrhea, everywhere around the house. By afternoon, he was back to normal. I figured it was a fluke.

After 2 normal days, he had it again last night, again starting in the middle of the night and still pure watery this morning.

Otherwise, he is acting completely normal, no changes in mood or behavior. He is eating and drinking normally.

My other grey is fine.

I don't believe he could have eaten something bad....he is only leash-walked with full supervision.

Does this happen to anyone else and just resolve itself? I read articles ranging from saying it could be nothing to be worried about, to that it could be cancer, so I'm not sure what to think.

I'm not a vet so I can't diagnose. Just don't jump to conclusions as far as Cancer. Maybe he is having a little irritable bowel. Anything at all change? Grass eating or treats?

I use pumpkin and green tripe for stomach issues, works wonders.

Try some boiled burger or chicken and rice for a couple of days.

Keep us informed!

i would take in a fecal sample to the vet to check for worms or parasites, especially if you take regular walks. It is very easy to pick up something out in "nature."

If positive, treat both dogs. Also check to see if there has been an ingredient change in any food or treats that you are feeding.

A stomach bug is nothing to be to worried about, but does need treatment ASAP to prevent more issues.

Hope your boy is feeling better soon.
