RaineysMom
hi, asking this question for a fellow greyhound owner that is not on this board. Her boy Jake broke his toe in 3 places (not sure which toe it is) and she is mostly concerned right now about keeping it dry (it's melting so it's less, but we've had about 14-16 inches of snow, so the bootie may have to be pretty tall). She said it doesn't seem to be bothering him much. She thinks they'll have to amputate so she was wondering what the best waterproof bootie is? any input would be appreciated! cello
I used a Medipaw for Specky when she had her toe amputated. Love that product! http://medivetproducts.com/products/#medipaw Specky used the RED MEDIUM size. The boot is expensive, but it saw Specky through her toe amp, and my foster through a seven week broken leg repair. Quote Molly Weasley Carpenter-Caro - 6 Year Old Standard Poodle. RaineysMom
I use an empty IV bag that I got from my vet. that's actually what we used on Larry's foot last month with his torn webbing...I think she might want something that has some padding in it too, along with being waterproof? rschultz
I have used the medipaw too. It is great because it is tall. It isn't completely waterproof so when Lexie had a bandage on I covered her foot first with a grocery store plastic bag then used the boot.
