Wonder Posted July 2, 2013 Share Posted July 2, 2013 (edited) Thunder doesn't like the keppra pill and spits it out. He's been the easiest dog I've ever pilled. I normally just throw the pills in his mouth, give him a treat and he eats them. Now he's spitting out all 5 pills. I don't need advice on pilling, just feel bad he has to have so many damn pills. He's taking them fine now- just have to shove the keppra down his throat before throwing the rest of the pills in his mouth. The keppra totally knocks him out too. Don't recall how long that took. Wonder Posted July 3, 2013 Author Share Posted July 3, 2013 I called his neuro yesterday morning and she called me on her drive home last night (I love my vets!!) She said to give it another week or I can bring him in for blood work now. It would be too hard to lower the dose of keppra so she suggests lowering the zoni. I won't do that since he had a seizure the last time we tried to lower it 50mg. He's taking the other pills perfectly again after I shove the keppra down his throat.
