cometdust1
I've just given my last interceptor tab to my hound last month. My vet uses Iverheart Max. Does anyone use this for heartworm on their dog? Is it O.K. for greyhounds?
Hubcitypam
It is fine. I've used Iverheart, Triheart and Hartguard. No problems.
Wendie
Iverhart is basically generic Heartgard. The Max treats tapeworms in addition to the typical (preventing heartworms, treating hookworms and roundwormds) Totally greyhound safe! racindog
That's what I started using when I couldn't get anymore Interceptor. Use it on 3 greyhounds and a Belgian Malinois and have seen no problems. I also use Heartguard Plus on the farm dog- a mixed breed. I didn't use the Heartgard for the hounds or mali because I heard quite a few dogs seem to experience diarheaa from it. I do have to put the Iverhart down their throat since most of them won't eat it like they used to the Inrterceptor. The tabs are pretty hard.
