Guest blueberri
Darlin Sparky came to us with the usual bald belly, bald butt, bald back legs... And they have all improved along with the quality of his coat, elimination of severe flaking skin etc. He now looks healthy, however a bald patch on the "sternum" bit of his chest remains, and with it a large dark grey area of thickened skin (pink skin around IIRC, he's asleep atm and I think I'd break the feeble internet access here if I tried to upload a pic). Apart from getting today's award for neurotic mum du jour, Anyone have any idea of what this might be??
spottydog
No advice, only have one greyhound but welcome from across the world! I hope it is nothing.

Sambuca
Bald is normal. Could the grey spot be acne? Off you post a picture, it will be easier to tell.
Guest blueberri
Am at the beach... Can't have gorgeous scenery *and* good internet connection it seems... Can load a pic later this week. For now, doesn't look like acne. Is a large patch, probably bigger than my hand, solid in colour (not dots like what I think of as acne), raised and thicker than his belly skin. I liken it to the thickening that happens with chronic eczema in kids... Sorry, I know it's frustrating to not have a pic... I'll try and see if I can get enough hamsters running to upload. Guest blueberri
Macoduck, sabuca, and NevadasMom: In trying to take a pic I see it's very similar to the photo in the thread macoduck quotes... Sparky's is more confluent though. Had a tutu and yup, lovely blackheads. Yummy. Well, at least it's nothing to stress about, and we can chip away at. I see the clever boy has a light covering of hair on his tummy. He might have full coverage one day! Thanks for your help folks!! There's no way I woulda thought such a solid mass was blackheads!
