Beachbum1
Taylor had his first dose of Rimadyl Monday at 3:00 PM. Normal (light brown) poop this morning at 7:00 AM. Had his second dose this morning at 7:15 AM. He had a much darker, formed poop at 10:00 AM. He seems fine, otherwise. Has anyone else see darker colored poops when on this stuff?? rschultz
Lexie was on a small dose last week for her stitches. I didn't notice any color changes. Quote Lexie is gone but not forgotten.💜
FiveRoooooers
Did you just change up Taylor's kibble? What you're seeing could be the result of that, I'm not sure about Rimadyl having the effect you describe. Quote Old Dogs are the Best Dogs. Thank you, campers. Current enrollees: Punkin. Beachbum1
The changeover in food started 2 weeks ago, and the past few days has been mostly the new food.
MaryJane
If it is very dark then I would be concerned about bleeding. You might want to take a stool sample in to the vet and they should be able to check for blood.
Blaidd49
I would definitely get it checked for blood. I trust they did a full blood work before prescribing Rimadyl
