seeh2o
I just emailed my pal Claudia as I know she keeps it in her doggy first aid kit, but I'm in a bit of a rush, so I thought I'd post my question here, too. What is the dosage of Ascriptin for a greyhound? Thanks in advance! Batmom
It really is not a good idea to give a dog aspirin unless prescribed by a vet. Guest Energy11
I was always told BY MY VET that you can give (1) 81 mg low dose aspirin, every 12 hours if needed. I give 1/2 daily to both Goldie and Curfew/ PER DR. COUTO, and if you do give aspirin ... give with a pepcid AC or it's generic. Good Luck! **here is what I found online: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=0+1303+1456&aid=1379 Edited January 16, 2011 by Energy11
OwnedBySummer
I wouldn't give aspirin to my dog, unless it was a veterinary-monitored-and-recommended thing. robinw
Don't do it if there's any chance at all that your dog will need to take other drugs. I made the mistake of giving Treasure aspirin a couple of months ago and there were all kinds of consequences. All I gave her was one stupid baby aspirin. Quote Xavi the galgo and Peter the cat. KF_in_Georgia
Why are you looking to give her meds? Is it pain--or something else? Aspirin-type drugs carry a high risk of side-effects if your dog is on any other meds. And aspirin-type drugs may complicate any additional meds that your dog might require as a result of...whatever it is you're dealing with right now.
