Guest Fasave Posted December 24, 2010 Share Posted December 24, 2010 Back from the ultrasound appointment and..........we got as close to a miracle as one could hope for! :yay The mass that was previously seen on the ultrasound has significantly shrunk. In fact, the technician said if the doctor hadn't told her where to look, she may not have seen it at all! While this is all good news, it still doesn't answer the question as to whether we are dealing with a bleeding tumor, hematoma, cyst or something else. In fact, they are really having a hard time seeing if it's on the liver, spleen or stomach being that it's so far in. The vet said it was completely up to me as to whether I really want to find out for sure and recommended a CT scan. She also said not to do it at Angell because their equipment is a little out dated and Tufts has a brand new machine that works so fast, they only need to give a mild sedative, versus anesthesia. So, I'm breathing a little deeper and glad Ave had the sense to tell me that he wasn't ready to leave this earth a few weeks ago. Looking forward to filling the boys stocking with lots of yummy treats and new stuffies. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Only people like you understand how difficult these situations can be.
